There was a really good double rainbow today. I pointed it out to the group I was with and said something about how beautiful it was. I was instantly accused of being gay.
It's just a freaking effect of sunlight and water, me thinking it's pretty doesn't mean a thing about who or what I want in my pants.

The guy was not joking. He honestly thought I was gay because I liked the rainbow.

Hehehe! There are few things to this..

1) The guy who accused you is gay because he knows that the rainbow is the symbol for gays.

2) Don't mind them. If you're not really gay, you wont let it affect you.

3) I guess you need to find another group but its good by the way that the guy told you what he thinks. At least he's honest and doesn't backbite.

Enjoy life.. :)

Perhaps he's just trying to make sure about you before he makes a move on you, man hes a latent homo, of course you thinking a rainbow is pretty doesn't have any connection to being Gay, if that was the case then you shouldn't think anything is pretty, what a miserable life you would have. Just think if you think a Porche is pretty does that turn you into a motor mechanic-or- if you think your friends scar is good does it turn you into a Doctor, just tell your friend he's a f**k-wit cause that's what he is, Change friends quick before he contaminates you. But please go on enjoying pretty things, you'll have a much happier life than your friend, poor bugger.

Well most guys aren't used to other guys being sensitive and appreciative of beauty other than a girl. Plus rainbows are the guy thingy. But If you were around girls when youe said that or a mixed crowd, many would agree that it was pretty.

Don't worry about it. Rainbows are natural like gay people.

And for the record, a rainbow doesn't necessarily "mean a thing about who or what I want in my pants" either.

I don't even believe your story about seeing a rainbow today and being accused of being gay.

I think rather, you dislike homosexuals, and made up this story so you'd have something hateful to post.

I hope you find something bette to do with your time tomorrow.

because you're hanging out with kids ... of course, you are only 19 yourself, so it's appropriate ... what i mean to say, is, once the group you hang out with gets a little more secure, you will be able to express all aspects of yourself without being "accused of being gay" ... kids are really hung up about sexual orientation ... when you get older, no one really cares (except the uptight christian fundies) and people understand that appreciating beauty doesn't mean you're gay

That would be because of stereotypes, and the fact that it's the symbol for the GLBT community. Looks like we stole your sunshine, literally!
