Sad to say, but the true classic genre is almost perceived as "adult easy listening" nowadays. Most of the Eagles stuff would probably considered (god forbid) country by today's standards. I feel your pain, I hit that milestone this year too. Remember everyone telling you how fast time would fly after you hit 21, and thinking, "Whatever, they're old, what do they know?'

Metallica released their last production in 2004 and are currently working on one for release in 2007. Where does Miss "25 years isn't classic enough for you?" get her information?

The question pertains to Metallica being classified as classic rock, for the slower members of the sewing circle. How does one conclude that 2007 is anything but current?

It had been previously established that The Eagles, Led Zep, and their genre is classic, you snotty little tart.

Because alot of that music is now 15-20 years old now. The passing of time makes songs classic. And people your age aren't the only ones listening to the station. There are people in their 30s who would like to hear songs from when they were in high school, too.

Classic Rock isn't anymore. Now it's SRR (Standard Radio Rock). As most radio stations are corporate owned, they recycle the same 300 song playlist over and over, depending on what the latest focus group chose.

It's all turned into government cheese . . .

In New York on Q1043, they sometimes play newer stuff-Nirvana is considered classic now. I think if it's good why not... The one think I HATE is when Q plays Green Day-WHICH IS SO NOT CLASSIC!!!
