Why would that be a complete joke? Simply because your views of policy would probably lose in an election?

Yes, it may be a joke. But no one is laughing. These countries need to set up their own freedom as we did. They will never completely accept an American invasion, see death and war, and come out of it smelling like roses and loving the American way of life. If we leave them to their own devices only they will decide how they will be governed. That new way will not necessarily be American.

Totally. "Peace and democracy" (which is not what we seem to be selling) can't be shoved down someones throat by the tip of a gun. For peace to truly work, their can't be a "victory." We must end the conflict as equals. Pretty hard to accomplish when we went in there with a "holier than thou" attitude in the first place.

hmm......i'll say NEVER!!!!!...."American democracy" throughout the world will eventually lead to chaos!...Americans dont live in a democracy. A democracy doesnt spy your phones and stuff! A democracy doesnt put u in prison coz u're not patriotic!

Actually if the rest of the world could ever get their heads out of their a*** it would be the road to a better world. Say what you want but you cannot argue with 225 years of success.

We've done pretty good with it. If every country were as prosperous as the USA then there wouldn't be any resentment of the USA and NO MORE TERRORISTS :). If you have noticed... democracies have higher GDP per capita than their non-democratic neighbors (ie Israel compared with Arab states, USA compared to Mexico pre 1990s).

who said they want our democracy!! it'll be so much better if we stop stiking our noses in other people's business andlet them live the way they want no one asked for our help. we killed almost 500,000 iraqi for bringing democracy to the middle east. does that sound like democracy to you? it sure doesnt sound so to me.
