I have my resume saved in My Documents and when I open my resume it prompts me with the message "Insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font." The font is all distorted, how can I fix this problem? Your help and suggestions are well appreciated.

Hi. This would depend on which version of Microsoft Office you're using, but the newer ones come with this utility. Open Microsoft Word by itself. At the top, click Help, then choose "Detect & Repair" from the dropdown. Uncheck "Restore my shortcuts" and click Start. This typically takes 3-5 minutes depending upon the speed of your computer. Detect & Repair detects inconsistencies in your installation package of Microsoft Office and attempts to repair the problems it finds. This doesn't just check MS Word, for instance. It checks everything else you've installed in MS Office.

If this doesn't work (usually a 50-50 shot), you have another option. Open your resume in MS Word, then do a CTRL+A to highlight everything, CTRL+C to copy into buffer, then open Wordpad (Start->Run->Type wordpad and hit enter) and hit CTRL+V to paste the buffered data into Wordpad. Wordpad automatically removes the excess formatting MS Word placed on your resume and it will allow you to reformat and replace what's wrong.

Hope this helps!

You may have an image in the document that is too large. Can you see the image? Try removing it from the document and save as to a different file name.
