You are lucky, most winters are long snowy winters, last year was a very mild winter. As for getting out of here. Can't blame you one bit. We use to have close to a million people in the city of Pgh, now we have 376,000. So alot of people did get outta here you would not be the only one. I used to laugh listening to Steeler football announcers saying that Pgh, fans travel well. They don't travel to all those games. They moved from Pittsburgh to where ever the Steelers are playing that week. Good luck with the move, and I'm sure you will be another out of state Steeler fan...

I used to live in Ohio about 1 hr and 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. The winters are what drove me out of the area. Rain is bad enough but that heavy lake-effect, 12-inches of snow is even worse! I also remember the winter days when the high would be in the teens with the windchill below zero. Run to a warmer climate!

you have lived here one year and you are judging our winter already at least live here a few years before you do that. this past year the weather has been completely off from what it is every other year. the winters are more snow and less rain and the summer is less 90 degree days more high 70 low 80's. so please before you dismiss Pittsburgh get to know it a little better, its really not that bad at all. and as of the guys comment above me the reason pittsburghs population is going down is cause more people are moving to the suburbs GO STEELERS!

We used to live in Pittsburgh, but because of my husband's health; we moved to Florida, because of the warmer climate. We didn't experience any long rainy winters, only snow and cold. GO STEELERS!

First off, we don't usually have long rainy winters. Snowfall usually starts in December and ends in March, and it's only rainy in April. This winter was an exception but you'll have that sometimes. And in comparison to other areas we have great weather! We don't get earthquakes and heatwaves like in the west, tornadoes like in the midwest, hurricanes like the south, and blizzards like the north! So if you don't like it here then get the hell out cause we don't want you!!!
