This seems to be the case whether we're talking about a car, a woman, a new job...etc. Just never understood this phenomenon.

Because humans have a short attention span and are always looking for greener pastures, it is difficult to appreciate the Here and Now. Eventually, as one ages, there comes the realization that thrill seeking is a dead end street. It is better to choose what you really like and shine the rest of life's disappointments.

An intelligent, open-minded, adventurous woman never becomes stale. The not so bright bimbos do quickly. Chose your mate wisely.

Cars should be for transportation. They take you to places that can broaden your experiences. Cars are only vehicles. Personifying them should never be a consideration.

Jobs are a different story. Once the challenge of mastering the job wares off it will become boring. Your best bet is to try to move yourself into a position where you have a job that is almost always challenging or stimulating (teaching, medicine, law enforcement, research, etc.).

Food: There are a thousand variations.

Knowledge: It's forever challenging.

Adventure: Quite watching it and become a part of it.

Television: Turn it off most of the time and read, write, explore, learn, mingle with others.

We get excited about things that are new to us, unfamiliar.
As they grow into every day things, they aren't as exciting.
Your excitment about a girl may grow stale but if you love them, your love won't grow stale. This is why you should date someone with a great personality or interests that you like. Don't date someone just for looks because after a while they won't look as glamorous.

You don't grow tired of all things. Music... Sure, some days I don't get a good high off my music.. but in a day or two I will. I always love it and I still feel amazed after listening to a song I've loved since 1997...

Oh, but the benefit to things becoming stale?
You try new things, explore!

Our whole world wants new things, the gimme, gimme attitude helps this, so it would be fitting for us to lose interest so as to be excited every time a new thing comes our way. If we always enjoyed what we have then there would never be a need for new things, so nothing would progress in the world, we would just be stuck.

If you put effort into what you have maybe it would last longer, just sitting back and expecting things to happen doesn't work.

I believe that things only get stale or unexciting if you let them.

the more you experience something, the more you learn about it, the more you know about it. excitement often comes from the newness and the unknown, both of which reduce daily when experiencing something repeatedly. laziness also plays a part, as some refuse to try things that might add excitement to their lives. the same old routine gets boring, whether a car, woman, man, job, house, or whatever. next time you're in a bank, just pull out a fake pistol. it will prove to you that excitement is actually easy to create. it just requires a bit of effort.

Ever hear of the expression, " Things get old after a while." No matter what is if people start raving about one thing, the next day its old news. Its like what you read in the newspaper, the next day whatever was in yesterdays paper is old news and new news is more exciting. Dont get yourself worked up over this, sometimes things are better if they are left unanswered because in reality nobody really knows the right answers to life' s greatest questions. If you try to answer these hypothetical/philosophical questions, what you are going to get is different interpretations or theories. It is like asking, why is the sky blue? or The story of creation.

Just imagine the situation like this.
A pond with serene water. A stone thrown into it. Depending on the size of the stone, there will be ripples or even large waves for some time. The state of a normal mind is this. The purpose of our life itself is to discover our own self. The more you know yourself - wider and deeper it goes. Wider and deeper the ocean, calm its nature will be. Then minor things cannot create any waves in your mind.

Here, an old English saying: The size of a man can be measured by the size of the matter makes him angry.

That is in the nature of very spoiled human being nowadays that they get board , very soon , we tend to replace our need for love and attention , with different other things, and have a lot of choices that are unable of appreciating anything , because we know we can get the same again and again , that prevent us from concentrating on one for example as you have put it the "women!?" , because of sexual freedom, and short living relation ships, it has lost its deeper function , which is love , it is must of the time very easy sexual relation ship and since both sides are always open for another relation ship, and
