How come black people used to be really moral and decent but today are really sleazy?

yeah yeah I know not all modern black people are sleazy but a disproportionate amount of them are. White people are more immoral than they used to be too, but blacks seemed to make the most polarized shift-they went from being the most moral americans the most immoral ones.

We are all not as you say; most of us are moral, upstanding people. We follow the laws and pay our taxes, go to worship services and take good care of our families.

What has happened is that the media portrays those of us who are not as upstanding as being sleazy, lazy and shiftless, which is demoralizing to the whole race.

If you saw me walking toward you, you wouldn't think I was sleazy by the way that I carry myself, with grace and class. You would see a well-dressed Black woman on her way to work every day, minding her own business, taking care of her husband and her children, and making her way in this world as best she can.

I feel very sad when I see a young Black man or woman who has made a rotten choice in his/her life, and now has to pay a price for that choice. I always think, what would that person have done had they taken the upper road?

By the way, I'm not mad at you for expressing an opinion.

I don't know where you are getting your info from but Black people have always held high standards and continue to do so to this day. Look around you idiot, this ain't 1950-1960 anymore. Some of the most powerful people in the U.S. are black. Won't be long before we have a Black President...stay tuned.

The real problem lies in the gang and rap culture of our godless society. Without the knowledge of God, all cultures fall into the level of animals. The liberal elite in this country is full of excuses for the high rate of crime an unmarried mothers in this nation.
Tu Pac and others were killed because they are filled with hate and live the gangster vulgar way of life. Martin Luther King Jr. would be very disappointed with the way many young people live today.

Yes, yes, and yes. You are absolutely right. It use to be that the women in the black race held on to their virginity and would only give it to the man that they were going to marry. If we had been with over five men, we were apalling. Brothas worked, and supported the house, even if it meant working two jobs. We stuck together and did not try ans get things started to hurt one another. I am a black woman and I love my race, but you are right. You even see it in our music videos. It use to be that our videos were about dancing and things like that. Now our women are exploited, and dance around half naked and our young women use to respect themselves now only identify beauty with sexuality.
