I had the air worked on two weeks ago because it just blew hot air so they put a new compressor in and refilled the freon, but all of a sudden two days ago the blower just stopped, you can feel there is cold air in there when i turn it on it just wont blow out, if it does need a new blower motor, what is the labor usually like?

I had this problem on my last car. The compressor was fine, and the dash fans worked fine, but there is another blower located on the A/C which had failed.

Unfortunately, repairing that fan is very difficult on some models. For some cars, it is easier to replace the unit, but still costly.

Yea sounds like the blower motor went south. Expect to pay around $85 an hour for labor, and depending on the car the motor could be anywhere from $60 to $???. It is actually sad that they put a new compressor in your car, when actually all it probably needed was freon. The compressor is basically like an engine, it has two cilinders and acts like an air compressor pump, and usually they don't go out, it might be that the compressor clutch went out, but not the entire compressor. And how unusual that the motor went out too, looks as if someone was plotting to have another job in a few days... So glad I can work on my own stuff.. I don't trust anyone working on my cars...

If no air is coming from the vents on your car, it may be the blower. It is usually located down the dash board in front of the passenger seat. If you know your model car and year you can go to a car part store and ask for this part and they will show you were exactly it is located in you specific car/year/model. It is really easy to take out. Just unmount the cover under the dash board, unscrew the fan/blower, unplug it and Mount the new one. it is important that you turn of the air conditioner first. You can buy a book on how to repair your car in any mayor auto-part store for your car/model. Or search the web in the image section on the web search engines and type "car air conditioning blower mounting". Remember to check first, before you buy the blower/fan for the air conditioner to test if there is electricity going to it. Use a voltage tester to do this.

if it seems like everything is working fine (a/c, heater, floor, vents, defrost etc) but there is no volume of air coming through the vents the most likely cause is the blower motor. it blows the hot or cold air through the selected mode (floor or defrost etc). it could be that there is a problem with the wiring or a fuse also but not as common of a problem. usually replacing the blower motor will set you back $100-200 depending on where you go and what kind of car. i work at a dealership in service and we replace them all the time. good luck!

It either needs a freon recharge (about 60 bucks) or a new blower (around 100?). Other than that, I don' t know. Good luck.
