I lost weight during all of my pregnancies and the doctor said it was perfectly fine. As long as your baby is healthy, you have nothing to worry about. Be sure you are giving you baby the proper nutrients he or she may need though. And do not take any form of weight loss pill.

Yes...I just had a baby in Jan. this year. I am 4 months pregnant now. Because I had not already lost my other baby weight, my Dr. told me he doesn't want me gaining ANY weight. Therefore I have to lose weight the further along I get so I don't gain any. I would talk to the Dr. about it first, but because you are overweight I dont see a problem with it. I was told I need to walk at least 30 minutes a day 4 days a week. Congratulations!

I lost 6 pounds when I first found out that I was pregnant with this baby but all I did was cut out all junk food. I was not restricting calories. I have an almost 2 year-old son and go for a lot of walks with the stroller. I am now 21 weeks, and have just gained back the weight that I lost at first.

It's not usually recommended, though some women lose weight early on b/c of morning sickness. Even if you were overweight, they wouldn't want you to upset your system by losing weight while you are pregnant. Best to do that before or after.

Enjoy the one time in your life where being bigger is beautiful and eating more (within reason) is expected.

I wouldn't call it trying to losing weight rather than watching what you ate. Don't engorge in HUGE meals or eat TONS of junk when you are pregnant. It's unhealthy for you and for baby if you eat unhealthy food while pregnant.

For snacks eat lots of Fruits. Apples & Peanut Butter, Pineapple is sweet, etc. Steer away from fatty foods and chocolate. Just because you are pregnant doesn't mean you have eat a ton of junk. Eatting healthy will be good for you and baby and help you maintain a healthy weight.

Yes and no...
You never want to go on a diet while you are pregnant, your body needs all that it can get from you eating right and doing moderate excercise...Along with the baby needs all it can get so that it has a better chance of survival when it is born.
Don't worry to much on that and if you are talk to your doctor....You will always get enough excercise after the baby is born along with less sleep and a little more stress every now and then.
good luck

It's not the time to start dieting. However, once I was pregnant and started eating healthier, I lost weight the first few months. See a dietician.

I don't know why you would want to.This is one of the few times a woman can gain wait and it doesn't matter.Exercising to stay fit is ok but I don't think losing weight would be healthy.

It's not usually advisable. You should really talk to your ob/gyn before you attempt weight loss while pregnant.
