whenever i eat enough psylocibe mushrooms to do so- i like to have telepathic dialogues with an array of different species of vegetation. most of them are very friendly, and have lots of wisdom to share, but some are just a**holes. is it because we, as humans, seem to do our best to exterminate everything but humanity (actually, i take that back- they try to exterminate each other all the time), or are they just d*cks?

as has been discussed in *the secret life of plants*, plantlife has consciousness and sensitivity. probably on a higher level than most nascar afficionados :-). just because they don't graduate from college or buy condos is no indication of lack of worthiness. actually, i've never met a tree i didn't like, which is much more than i can say about numerous humans. perhaps your approach to some of them, those that aren't as friendly as the others, was found to be, for whatever reason, somewhat unacceptable, could happen, eh? i would suggest refining your technique with that group to see what happens. perhaps exercise with them a special degree of "humility" . who knows they may, in fact, be superior and expect to be treated accordingly. :-)

Some plants are condescending because they think they have greater insight. A stronger connection to the cosmos. Like animals, some of them feel a sense of "holier-than-thou" and can't help but to relay this attitude. I have to believe that those are the ones who don't really have it all figured out. If they, indeed, did, they would realize that each of us plays a valuable part in this drama. Each of us fills a void. Each of us is necessary in the unfolding. And no one (plant or animal) is more important than another in the grand scheme of things.

Do you think that maybe you just can't communicate with these particular species in a way that feels comfortable to them? Maybe you need some cultural sensitivity to their particular species in order to relate. Is it entire species, or are you stereotyping entire species based upon your experiences with a few individuals? Perhaps this is food for thought next time you eat shrooms. (And by the way, do fungi appreciate your appreciation of their finer qualities, or are they hesitant about sacrificing their lives for your theoretical enlightenment?)

Be careful of the friendly ones too. You can't trust them. Many of the plants today are predators and are simply telling you things you might want to hear in order to gain your trust. Choose your vegetables with care.

next time you partake in the shrooms, you need to tell the plants that you only want to talk to the ones who are not gentically modified. Those who are GM are the anti-christs of the plant world...Don't ever talk to GM plants, EVER!!! They are quite dangerous.
