has anyone read this book? my best friend is insisting on me reading it, so i was wondering whether it's any good or not. i know it's a classic and all, but just wanted to know what other people think about it.

is this based on a french novel . a man with no scent is consumed with creating the perfect personal perfume. a interesting read, fast paced ,eerie atmosphere

I love that book, I have read it several times. Its one of the best classics you can get. I insist that you try it out

I heard this is being turned into a movie, directed by Tom Tykwer who also directed Run Lola, Run. Should be interesting. I wonder who would want to see it.

Yes. Violent and sadistic. I didn't like it much. There are loads of better books out there.

its fabulous. you love to hate the main character but you also see where he's coming from. very good and interesting read
