i think she might kill Harry's character for one reason:
to not give other writers the chance to continue the book when she dies.

Why would I get mad at her? She created the character, she should be able to kill him. Plus, I think its a good reason - why should she let other writers make a profit from her ideas?

She already killed my favorite character anyway. RIP Sirius Black.

I won't be angry. I'd actually be happy if Harry died in the final book, because as you say, other writers won't be able to continue the book after J. K. Rowling dies. Her family will have copyright over the series for fifty year after her death, and then theorectically anyone could start a new series based on Harry's life. If Harry dies, then we all know that'll it'll be a lot harder to do so.

Rationally, I won't be angry because Harry is her character and she can do what she wants. I can understand why she might want to kill him so as to end the series completely.
Irrationally, I will be upset and angry if she kills him. All that character development over the years and people aren't allowed to let him exist in their imaginations anymore? It would cast a big shadow over the whole series - imagine re-reading all seven books knowing that Harry dies at the end. That's just sad.

What I wish would really happen is that Harry Potter should kill JK Rowling. From what I have heard, the woman does not like Americans, yet she has gotten really rich from all of us. To hell with her. The movies are good though..........

JK Rowling is excellent at creating suspense isn't she? LOL

I think she will let Harry triumph over Voldemort. But she did say that she will wrap up the storyline.

I just hope that she does let Harry grow up. Sort of an epilogue. Perhaps devoting some chapters at the end to his later years.

I would be a little mad. I mean, Harry Potter is the main character of the series. We invested a good almost ten years going on the adventure and to see hiom die would be a waste of that ten years we took out. I hope he does survive, but he's either going to die or kill Voldemort, according to the prophecy. We'll have to see what he does.

You may be right. I'm not a big Harry Potter fan, but it would make me angry because millions of people love Harry and it is in her power to keep him alive.

nope. unless he dies in a really crappy way.. it's kinda ironic but by killing HP, Rowling would be able to 'immortalise' that character and the books.. there'd be no chance for anyone to tarnish the reputation of the series.

She won't ever have to write again, so why not?
The character has served his purpose :)
(By the way, I've read almost the entire series, love it)
