gosh, this world is destroying itself! Actually, no, the presidente of the USA is destroying this world.

Too right. The government uses the media to create fear in our lifes so we are powerless and look to the government for protection. Turn of your t.v don't waych the news, l don't. Have you seen the german news? They only show the good bits of life and the world, no fear.

Because pessimists write and report it.

There are many happy things going on in our world but the media concentrates on the bad.

If there was a horrific accident on one side of the road and a teacher teaching a learning disabled child to read on the other - which would you watch?
Would you like to hear about my happy wonderful marriage and my 4 great kids or would you like to hear the latest Hollywood divorce and adultery stories?

It's really our own fault that we have trained the press to give us garbage!

Has nothing to do with the President. Wars have benn going on continually through recorded history with an exception of something like 18 months total. There will be wars going on long after Bush is gone.

Man it has been this bad for as long as I can remember. Well at least since the early 90's. W is trying to fill daddy's shoes and we are all going to go down with him. Just now W. has us spread out all over the place and now we are stuck in the center of something really scary. Not to mention the whole Venezuela stuff going on.

Sometimes you just have to turn the news off and concentrate on enjoying your life. Best advice I can give you.

it's not news if its not depressing. that would be entertainment. the more depressing it is, the bigger the news, and it sells too.
