It amazes me when the media announce that one of their members has been injured or killed out there... and how shocked they sound about it. I don't think it's a good idea for ANY unneccessary people to be in a war zone. It's bad enough that civilians are unable to find a way out or feel that they need to stay for whatever reason. People get killed in war. Civilians, Soldiers, Media People, Politicians.. anyone... I certainly am not planning any trips to any war zones in the near future for any reason....

Isn't it time to get our military out of a war zone that nobody asked us to be in, and let the Iraqui people decide what they want???
edit: A country cannot remain "free" without a free press!!! Why do you think our forefathers fought so hard for that right?? And, since when are we in Iraq for any legitimate reason?

It certainly is. The people of the media should all be tried for treason. We could have finished this "war" (and i use the term loosely) in a matter of weeks, but the media would rather see American troops die then terrorists in civilian clothing get shot. Sad isn't it. therefore we have to pussy-foot around and take heavy casualties...Make no mistake..CNN and the likes of them want nothing more than to see Amercia fall..

News Flash: The "war" isn't being lost because there are reporters there. This is an unwinnable war by most any standard, much like Viet Nam before it. It has deteriorated into a civil war and there isn't a thing we can, or should, do about it.

What do you mean by finish the job? Kill everybody that gets in the way? I think news people should be there or we would have no way of knowing whats going on.

we voted for bush b/c he took the initiative and wanted to go to war and take out the "weapons of mass destruction" in there, but we've been fighting for no reason b/c now we still haven't found those weapons. i agree i'm tired of hearing how another soldier lost their life to someone seeing how they can blow up something else. it's pointless. why can't lebanon, israel and all those middle east countries just stop hating each other?! we just need to let them finish what they came there for and come back home.

Yes, there's no need for the media to be there to sensationalize an already horrible situation. I can't say I feel for them when they get killed, as much as I would a soldier who is there to do a job legitimately connected to the situation at hand.
