From the 2007 Red Book plus the fact I've been trying to buy one in local coin shops.
The value is $3,000 in good condition.
In fine grade it is $8,500 but I saw a few for $7,700.00.

The 1916 quarter, struck in a transitional year between the Barber and Standing Liberty designs, is one of the most famous 20th century silver rarities. Only 52,000 coins were struck of this date and very few Uncirculated pieces were saved by the public. As a result, this issue became an almost instant rarity, with Mint State pieces always commanding a hefty premium. It really depends on the condition of the coin.
As of 2000, the coin ranged from a G-4 (which is the lowest condition) to be valued as $1200 to about $6500 for a mint condition. I'm sure they price has gone up since then. So it really all depends on the actual quality. I would send it off to be certified and then get back to me.

I can't tell you how much your coin is worth, but I can tell you where to go on-line to find out. USmint.com Just look up liberty quarters and then look up the year your quarter was made.
