While knowing the future would be exciting sometimes, and even advantageous in certain circumstances, the fact remains that we will never know what the future holds. We can never have true knowledge about anything that is in a constant state of change. Therefore, we can never be absolutely certain that what we think will happen, will happen. Besides, wouldn't life become boring if we were able to tell what was going to happen in the future ? There wouldn't be any element of surprise! Furthermore, why should one be so concerned about the future ? While we can make great strides to a great future, the thing to keep in mind is that you're alive right now-- and that, you should take advantage of. If we keep all ways wishing for tomorrow, we wish today away, and today is really the only thing we have. So while it might be fun for a little while to know the future, thus confirming the crystal ball question, I don't think humans have actually mastered knowing the present enough to deal with the future.
