Waking up on a cool crisp morning to the sound of a brook babbling over the stones. Opening the tent and seeing deer strolling unalarmed across the meadow. The smell and taste of that first cup of camp coffee. The golden leaves of Aspen shivering in the morning breeze. Mist floating silently through the trees. I love the Eastern Sierras.

Taking my wife and children to Reutlingen, Germany where I attended college in the 1980's. A nice long hike up the Achalm and then a train ride to Hechigen Schloss and then to Sigmaringen and then on to Blaubeuren and finally to Nuernburg.
Ahhh what a trip down memory lane.

Without a doubt, two weeks of "prime time" on the Great Barrier Reef on the coast of Queensland, Australia. I've been there three times in my life, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Of course, it helps if you like to snorkle, scuba dive, & love marine life. I do remember "fishing" for "Morton Bay 'Bugs'," with rotting carion & "nylon" and boilinging them like lobster. Those with some Aussie beer is quite the treat!

Anytime I'm in Florida at a nice hotel on the beach that has a pool and a lot of fun people around! That's all I'll ever need!
