I've been using one for years now, but I was always afraid that it would set off my labor. Call your doc. Or a chiropractor to check.

I had problems with my sciatic nerve during my last pregnancy, and while the TENS unit was never discussed specifically, my OB said the only safe treatment would be to go to a chiropractor. I don't know whether that is accurate, or whether I had an OB who favored the least invasive treatment method. Good luck!

No, I have not used one during pregnancy, but I have had patient's on one. I am just unsure of the question otherwise? The unit works on the Gate Control Pain theory and by sending out the impulse, it overrides the normal pain signal from reaching the brain. Quit safe unless you throw it in water . . .

dont be warry about thats
TENS is short for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. The unit is used to stimulate nerves in the
skin. This can result in pain relief either by reducing the number of pain signals reaching the brain, or by
the production of the body’s own pain killing chemicals.

I would consult your OB/GYN first. You can ask your OB if they can recommend someone that does prenatal massage. I have them for migraines
