Why do people stare at me all the time? Even when I catch them staring they keep doing it. They just look at me with a perplexed/amused look on their face. They look at me like they are trying to figure something out or they are in disbelief. I'm pretty normal looking, so what the heck am I doing to get this reaction so often?

My spinal surgery,
Put me in a wheel chair,
It's a part of my life,
But you do not care.
My eyes have gone blind,

My ears have gone deaf,
But I still see your glare,

I am not contagious,
I won't poison the air,
So why do you taunt me?

Staring is rude. A glance or look is OK. But people who stare at someone we're not taught any manner's. If you stare at a gangster would you think of it as a good idea? Hell no? It's consider mad dogging. If someone stares at me I usually let it go. A female is OK . but even then I feel uncomfortable. I know women do not like being stared at. Guys look because we find a women attractive. Women base everything off verbal communication. Men it's more action oriented based. When another man stares at another man it's kinda considered a challenge. It is rude and disrespectful and people who stare too often especially men are gonna stare at the wrong person who will probably unfortunately so something to them that might make them never stare again....lol

Something interest's them about you. Maybe its your clothes or hair. If you're "normal" looking, they may just admire you. Or they could be staring past. It's normal. Just let it pass.
What i like to do is stare back, no matter what. They usually notice and look away, embarassed.
Actually, sometimes they weren't even looking at me! They were looking past, and i didn't realize because it seems like they're looking at me, rather they're looking on my direction. Counfusing.
Just stare back is my best advice. Embarass the heck outta them. It'll make you feel good. It certainly makes me feel good.

I find that people in small towns stare a lot due to lack of exposure to attractive and interesting people.

Perhaps you are better than average looking! Or maybe you are the type of person that draws people to you with positive energy! I can't believe people would stare for no reason or, god forbid, for a negative reason! If they did I would just ask them what they were looking at!
I take back the positive energy part! I can't believe your response to that poem! You could have just not responded!
Maybe you are vocally drawing attention to yourself and people can't believe you are saying whatever it is they are hearing! That's my new theory!

well it could be they think you are a very attractive person, or they could just be looking in your general direction but not actually staring at you, they could be in a daze or daydreaming about something. Is this one person in perticular or when you are out in public? if its one person in general they may be shy or afraid to approach you to talk to you because they may be intimadted by you. and not for any bad reason, and if so mabye you should be the first one to say hi to break the ice.

you must hav something odd looking about u if peps keep staring after u catch them at it. next time it happens approach that person calmly and say 'what the hell is so interesting that you have to stare at me?'

People stare at me all the time, maybe because I am pale and pasty. I do wear make up but not too much.
I dont know why people stare. Dont they know its rude. At least dont let the other person catch you looking at them.

I think friends and family are your best resource. Ask them if they see what you do at the moment and ask them to interpret what they think. Ask several kinds of people, like your dad, your friend, a classmate or co-worker you are not close to.
