My keyboard is working for a few minutes and then strucking and mouse is not reponding at all. (ps2 mouse and keyboard) I loaded win xp and i go to the control panel add hardware after that again hanged the computer.I try the same three times but same.There is a noice from the speaker also. (Pentium 3 gigabite motherboard, Award bios.)

Try loading the driver for the keyboard.
(from a driver CD which should have come with the Keyboard)
then load the mouse driver from the XP CD.
If this does not work, try out another keyboard and/or mouse.
There might be a conflict between the devices

The connections for the keyboard and mouse look the same. Did you switch them by accident?

Did you accidentally bump and loosen the connection?
Have you checked the Device Manager?
If all else fails, you may have to uninstall and reinstall.

check if the connections are secure and if the os is corrept . or well you can have other problems hanging the computer . like bad sectors , virus , driver error etc
