I soooooo know how you feel, it's pathetic! I just decided this last semester to quit because I am completely, utterly burned OUT!!!! I did the same things you have mentioned: I even failed classes because of missing the last 3 weeks, including those I had A's in. It's rough! I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do after my dreams got dashed for going to med school, (damned organic chemistry!!!).

I've decided the best thing I can do is try to work full-time somewhere for a while and save up some money and have some benefits, and then in a few years, go to the community college and get an associates degree in something I can use effectively. The problam I had with school is feeling like I wasn't learning anything "important" or that I could use. My boyfriend just graduated this spring with an English, Professional Writing degree and if he doesn't get into Grad school next year, I don't know WHAT he's going to do.

So don't worry if you decide not to stay in school; just try to find a job where you can learn something useful for the future.

You have to go back when you are young, because later is very difficult with family, house, car and other responsabilities. And maybe someday you can use you degree to make more money.

If you don't have a degree you should have a good trade to make a good living (carpenter, cook, plumber...) but anyway you have to work hard, same as if you go to college.

You should go back, get a degree in something you like and then do your life, but you know you have that degree and you can have mope opportunities in life.

I love school and always think you should go to expand your mind and life chances. That said, if you aren't in the mental or emotional place to go, you will waste your time and money. You need to do some introspection and find out what makes you happy and what you want. It is up to you and you will figure it out with a little thought.

yes, there is something wrong. Depression you describe is NOT normal, and is probably a chem imbalance...to to a doc and have tests done...describe your symptoms fully. See what is up..YOu cannot possibly enjoy feeling like this. Good luck

go back to college...i'm in the exact same boat...i'd say go back part time...just a couple courses not a full load...and when you get to your classes...don't sit in the back...sit in the middle...and then just ask your neighbor's questions and talk to them...atleast you will have a friend in class...never ever sit in the back!!!
