Whenever, be it at a social gathering, the office, etc., sushi is brought up nearly everyone gets excited and has to share what kind of sushi they like and try to convince people that don't eat it that they should. I love sushi, but it seems like so sort of cult, lol.

Well, because for those people who have already acquired the taste for sushi, it is just so much a pleasure to partake in such a meal again. The different tastes, the different textures, the wasabi, the aroma, the works! How can people just not get excited about them? :)

SUSHI SUSHI!!! Yummy!
Uh oh.. now you made me excited too ^o^
Well, sushi is great. It combines culinary and art. These two things can bring someone's emotion out. Sushi also shows social class, because sushi is not cheap.
And when people have experienced eating sushi, they will feel that they already learned bout Japan's cultures and arts, it means they have knowledge bout it. And when they try to convince someone else to eat it, I think they just wanna make other people agree with their opinions... that sushi is SUPERLICIOUS! And I think there's nothing bad bout it.
Besides, it's better when people discuss about how tasty Californian Rolls are, than how thick Big Mac from Mc D's is, right?

shopaholic - you are so fuken uber trendy. it is not expensive.
its rice, seaWEED, and fish. dumbasses that need to spend large amounts of money for validation should be drug out to the street and shot.
go to k town or gardena for bombazz sushi at great prices.
Sumo sushi in gardena offers an all u can eat lunch special for 10 bucks, plus the chefs are always preparing it and it goes around the restraunt on a conveyor belt.
don't forget the saki bombs.
Best bet: skip breakfast and smoke a big fat joint b4 going in.
downside: you can leave the place looking like a sumo wrestler

Really. No, I haven't noticed. I personally don't like Sushi. I have never tasted it. I don't want to. It doesn't sound too appealing. Raw fish wrapped in seaweed. No thanks!
