Forget the scrubbing unless you are really into it. Go to Lowes or Home Depot, spend the money and invest in a Shark steam cleaner. I have cleaned all of the grout between the tile floors back to their original color in less than an hour. The steam dissolves the dirt and pushes up onto the tile and you just wipe away. The hardest thing to do is stand there and point the steam nozzle. You will find many other uses for the steam cleaner around the house also. It cleans indoors and out. My friends are all trying out my cleaner and then buying their own. Seal the grout after you get it cleaned.

There is a cleaner you can buy, I get it at Lowe's in the tile department, that is called grout cleaner. pour it directly onto your grout let it stand for 2 - 5 min. then scrub. Do a section at a time. After you have got it cleaned, use a grout sealer, same department, and that will help to keep it clean.

I have heard that tile grout is one of the few things the magic eraser is actually good for. maybe try that.

baking soda and a tooth brush to get off the gunk, then chlorine bleach to get the stain out. once it has dried you should apply a grout sealer.

baking soda and vinegar foam well when mixed together....scrubbing bubbles will help too

i use a keyboard cleaner to scrub them....they are like long slim toothbrushes, covers more area at once, and they have an angled handle, so they aren't as hard on your wrists as a toothbrush, office max sells them
