I have iTunes for Windows... I know that iTunes will automatically play the next song with the black check mark next to it (or shuffle to the next song with the black check mark)

My question is how can I get the black check mark next to every song without actually checking every song manually?

There is only one way, you need to check every song manually. (sry)

Simply click edit>select all (Ctrl+A). This should highlight all the songs in your library. Right click on any of the check boxes and you can either check all or uncheck all. If you wanna select a few of them. Hold you ctrl button and just click the ones you want. If you wanna check a group that are close to each other you can hold shift and then click two different ones to select a chunk.

Often the Problem when trying to add songs to iTunes is that they are WMA (windows media) files which are sometimes incompatiable with iTunes which uses M4a files. See the below link if you think that is the problem. If not the above suggestion of burning them to disc with another program then ripping them into iTunes directly from disc could work as well.

You got it all wrong. Every song should have a check mark. Just hit CONTROL+A then that should take care of it. K?
