I had sex on August 1st around 2:30 pm or so... The condom broke.. Then I took the morning after pill on August 3rd around 3:30 p.m. or so.. Is there still a chance I could get pregnant? Like is there anyway I could have released my egg between the time I had sex and taking the pill? My last period was July 19.. So I'm not late yet.. Just worried and have been feeling sick..

First of all take a seat and take a deep breath. try to relax and think calmly of all your options. Call up your dr or local free clinic. All abortion clinics will give you a free pregnancy test and they have counselors to talk to about your situation who can give you the right options according to your situation. If you don't have medical coverage/ medical insurance they can also help with emergency medicaid if you feel you would want to terminate. I would be scared to continue the pregnancy myself after taking the morning after pill. They may say it's safe but, I personally wouldn't take that chance. Mind you I am an EMt (emergency medical technician on an ambulance) and I am medically educated. Also, keep in mind that pregnancy hormones stay in your system weeks after even an abortion or full term delivery. Try 6 weeks later and you can still see a positive sign in a hp test. that's normal. These hormones take time to leave your body. Don't be afraid or depressed you are not alone in this situation. There are many other women who have gone through this and more. And you certainly won't be the last. Simple part of being a women. Whatever your "choice"...I wish you the best of luck !

I can tell you by personal experience, that the day after pill is only 89% effective, and it is possible to be pregnant even though you've taken that pill. Unfortunately, I did that same mistake, ended up being pregnant, and miscarried that baby 18 weeks into the pregnancy. Next time you're with someone, make sure not to take the morning after pill, unless you just want to get excited about a pregnancy and child, and then have it taken away from you. Good Luck!

Ignore the idiots who talk about killing babies... if anything thats a few cells in you not a baby... and those who say things like that are the ones who beat up and abuse children once born calling them bastards and the girl a whore and abuse her too.

So don't listen to them.

You will have to see.

Why the fk did you not take it on the 1st as it was afternoon or 2nd?

The longer you leave it the less effective it is and thats a clear cut reason to take time off school or work...

The time limit is 72 hours and you are half way though that so I would give you good odds. If it didn't work get an abortion/abortion pill ASAP whilst its still little more then a blood clot certainly no person with felings or personaility or other rubbish like that.

The morning-after pill — a form of emergency birth control — is used to prevent a woman from becoming pregnant after she has had unprotected vaginal intercourse. Morning-after pills are generally considered safe, but many women are unaware that they exist. Here's how the morning-after pill works.

Human conception rarely occurs immediately after intercourse. Instead, it occurs as long as several days later, after ovulation. During the time between intercourse and conception, sperm continue to travel through the fallopian tube until the egg appears. So taking emergency birth control the "morning after" isn't too late to prevent pregnancy.

The active ingredients in morning-after pills are similar to those in birth control pills, except in higher doses. Some morning-after pills contain only one hormone, progestin (Plan B), and others contain two, progestin and estrogen. Progestin prevents the sperm from reaching the egg and keeps a fertilized egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus (implantation). Estrogen stops the ovaries from releasing eggs (ovulation) that can be fertilized by sperm.

The morning-after pill is designed to be taken within 72 hours of intercourse with a second dose taken 12 hours later. Side effects may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue and headache. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the morning-after pill is 80 percent effective in preventing pregnancy after a single act of unprotected sex.

No.. if you took the morning after pill within 72 hours its all ok! remember the later u take the pill the less chance it will work! but i took it 2 days after like you and everything is ok! you should come on 3 weeks after taking this or possibly before! if you worry about it then it may hold off so just relax and take you mind off it :)

u r feeling sick probably cos u r vey nervous. there is a very slight chance u could be. the doctors say that the morning after pill is not 100% reliable just under i think, still the chances are good that u r not....as u did take the pill within 72 hours so that is a plus side.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating. Anyway this is a great method to get pregnant: https://tr.im/gZXc4
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant

Was there a 1-800 number on the pill dispenser? Try calling a Woman care clinic they might be able to help answer your question. You can also take an EPT test one week before your missed period.... I found out i was pregnant every time before i even missed a period.

You should be fine, as you need to take the pill within the 72 hours of having sex. Your chap isn't using the right size condoms , which is why it broke.
