Hate itself is not a crime. It's the behavior that hate creates in a person that becomes a crime. Like doing damage to someone elses property.. or assaulting someone because you hate them or even murder someone. Feelings are Feelings. It's acting on the feelings that can get a person into trouble.

Depends on what country you live in, and how you "act on" that hate.
In America, just saying you hate someone usually isn't grounds for arrest (heck, if it was, people would be arrested left and right for denouncing the president). Groups that also promote hatred (such as white supremacists, or muslim extremists) also can generally voice their hatred and get away with it under the 1st amendment's freedom of speech.
However, if you were to attack someone because you didn't like their race or religion, for example, then yes, it's a crime, and expect to get mistreated in jail when the inmates there find out what you did to go there.
I'm not sure about other countries though.

No, and there is also no specific crime as a hate crime. All crimes are hate crimes. You don't beat up people you love. Having a category for hate crimes is just as racist as hurting someone because you are racist.

Depends on what is done because of the hatred. If you hate someone and do something about that..then yes it becomes a crime. Because you acted on the hate. Most Christians will tell you to Love your enemy ..do good and not hate.

No, if you hate people or things just because they are different that means you are the crime, not hate!

hate is not a crime. it is a feeling. but the action that stems from hate is a crime. if you hurt a person because you hate him/her, the hate is not blamed, but the act you did against that person.
