Kako's information is almost correct...

If you are planning to stay only in Saigon, where most of the city is relatively new construction, you can use North American two prong plugs. If you plan to stay in areas with older construction, you will need an Asian plug adaptor. Adaptors cost between $1-$5 at an electronics store.

Make sure your power transformers can handle 220 VAC and be careful to keep away from moisture when using your electronics. You will get the shock of your life if you don't watch out.

You can get by with a standard US two-prong type plug (not the ones with 3 prongs).

Current varies from 127v to 220v. Most modern power supplies are switching ones - they can switch voltages themselves. You can look on the back of the power supply to check.

I have no idea how you are relating this to an iPod. Most of them get their power through USB. If you have a power supply, check it and see if it says something like 100-220V. If so, it will do fine for you.
