To compare a pre-season game in one sport, to a world championship game in another sport, not exactly a fair comparison.
And here's my take on the World Cup. What's the point of playing 90 minutes, then penalty time, the game ends 0-0, and the game is then settled by penalty kicks? Too many World Cup games were exactly that. Ridiculous.
What they need to do is, 1) Allow more substitutions so that the game has more energy, and 2) If it's tied 0-0 with 20 minutes left, take two players from each team off the field, to create some open space so that an actual GOAL might be scored!

I am an American and will admit there's nothing like the World Cup. It's truly the pinnacle of sporting event championships. But, the NFL is an exciting league due to the greatest amount of parity of any league in the world and a short season which puts a premium on every game. It's hard to lose interest when virtually every team has a shot each season. So, yes, the World Cup rules, but don't knock American football until you've given it a fair shake (I would never count the Raiders and their degenerate fans a fair shake).

Of course it was boring you were watching the eagles play the raiders, just watch the Giants play and you will fall back in love with football, and about every one being involved all game ,well I think Zedan had a good view from the side after trying to add full contact to soccer.

Well, it was preseason, with none of the excitement of the regular season or playoffs, plus it was the backups for most of the game. I enjoyed the world cup but i couldn't sit through a half, let alone a game... During football season i can watch a game at every time (1,4,SNF,MNF) without getting bored, i usually watch more than one game at a time too, because i sunday ticket.

Yes, I enjoy soccer more for sure. Nothing like the excitement in the real football. American football has it's good points, though. The Hall of Fame game sucked partly because it was preaseason, so it's not a good barometer.

It's the preseason...games are going to be boring. Yeah...it's exciting watching guys run up and down kicking a ball and only one goal being scored in 90 minutes...especially when you have someone taking a dive every 5 seconds.

Since I like the Philadelphia Eagles and DC United as well as the premier leagues, I have the best of both worlds, you might want to try it. Broaden the ol' horizons, grab the remote, put on some NFL playoff game and try to learn something.

It is only preseason and i hated watching all of that passing in the world cup, why do they never try to score??? now that is boring watching people kick a ball to each other for 90-plus minutes.
