My drunken mother used to pound out CHOPSTICKS on the piano for hours and hours and hours on end in the middle of the night on school nights, what do you think that did to my outlook on life? (Wow that was an outburst, sorry). I like the Beatles, though. Imagine...

Country music and alternative rock shaped my personality and outlook on life. Country music gave me an early look into the culture of the region that I live in and alternative music made me feel like life was cool.

My parents played country music a lot of the time while we were in the car. I got alternative rock from watching MTV in the late 90s and from staying up late listening to the radio in my room.

I loved all kinds of music when I was a kid growing up during the 70's. When the 80's came I chose hard rock and heavy metal as my signature music 'cause I was in a state of rebellion at that time. I still am now but I've mellowed out a bit. I still get a rush though from a screaming guitar.

Peace.

I loved Material Girl by Madonna when I was little. Everytime I was
little and I was dressed nicely, I would have that song in my head
and would strut down the school halls with confidence.
But on the flipside, I loved Painted Black by the Rolling Stones
at that age too when I wanted to feel edgy.

Early '70s music. Post Vietnam War era but still decent rock as well as good R&B before disco came along and screwed everything up.

Although I have a preference to pop , r&b and soul music, I was taught by my mom to appreciate most genres of music. As such, I grew up to have very ecclectic tastes and my music library reflects this.
