Since you did not say what you downloaded it is hard to tell.

There are many options though available:

Regedit
Virus-protection
Spyware-protection
Firewall-protection (Both software and hardware)
ISP help
Yahoo Answers
etc.

And so much more you can not even begin to imagine.

If you will send me exact details and description I will do my best to help you.

But I must tell you this!

Never open anything in email or IM!!!!

No matter what.

Best Wishes and have fun but be careful.

Try going into safe mode first before deleting it. To do this you'll need to reboot and press a key like F8 or another function key while the BIOS is loading. Then select safe mode from the menu. Now try to delete it. If that doesn't work then use the search function to find all instances of that file and delete them from there.

Hi
This is due to your file in use
if you want to delete the file just l;ogin in safe mode and then try to delete again if it giving you the same error
then press alt-ctrl-del and in task manager go in process and try to find whether the program is running or what

and if you want to uniinstall any programm from add remove and you are getting this erroe casnnot fil then i think the files are removed and you just need to delete it from registry
for this
start-run-(type) regedit in it go in hykey local machine-softwares and there try to find your software which you want to delete and jsut click on the folder by right click if you got that folder and delete it .
yes before this please fgo in
start-run-(type) msconfig and in startup please see that your software isn't running there just if you are able to see your software link there then pleasee uncheck it and restart your machine before doing this procedure

I have the same problem. Its frozen into your computer. I've heard if you reboot your computer, it might go away. Check with a compuer store.

What is the file you have downloaded? Is it a virus? If so do a virus scan.
