I have an18 ton container shipping from China to San Diego. How do I get it from the docks to my house?

You should have already arranged for 'trucking services'. If the shipping company is Matson then they will get it to your house and give you 10 days to unload it - for a fee.

More details are needed to give you the right advice though.

Is it landing in San Diego or at the Port of Long Beach/L.A.?
You'll have to work with a local transport company to pick it up at the port and transport it to you. If you plan to unload at your house please keep in mind that they will charge you for the time the driver waits while you unload.
