Yes, but you should communicate before doing it that it is outside of your job description but would be happy to help. A positive attitude is everything here, and letting them know its a "favor" helps with promotion and establishment of rules. You dont want to be seen as a complainer but at the same time you dont want to be walked on. By saying you will do it (pleasantly) while also noting its out of your requirements does both. good luck.

Unless it is immoral, unethical, or illegal, it is advisable to do what your boss requests. Most job descriptions have a disclaimer that says "and other duties as requested". Usually when a boss asks you to do something extra, it means he or she thinks you are capable, and may be testing you for a bigger role. If doing this job will require overtime, or might require you to miss some of your other targets, then it would be o.k. to discuss that with the boss and see how to re-prioritize duties.

If you refuse the assignment, you could be viewed as uncooperative, not upwardly mobile or career motivated.

You can discuss that with him and ask for more pay if it is a reoccuring thing. I am a manager and if I expect people to go outside of their job description from time to time. If they have an issue with it managers will just rewrite their job description or write them up for insubordination. Be careful how you approach the situation. You could be viewed as a non team player.
