Just think about what it is that you want to write about, and begin. Don't let too many outside thoughts interrupt what you want to say, and don't judge yourself before you even get started. Just open up, and let your writing begin. We all must start somewhere, and this site might just be a great place for you to express yourself to others. No one is here to judge your writing, and if you do get some negative comments, just ignore them. Please just let go, and don't be afraid. I for one, will be here to read what you have to write. :)

Well, first of all, you need to read, read, read. Then you should do as much as you can to get as much experience about the world as possible.
I myself am planning to be a writer as well, and am working on a novel right now. I'm basing my stuff off my experiences and stuff I've read (I'm a history major in college). I've also joined the army, and have been to South Korea and Kosovo.
I'm studying history because I want to know why stuff happened in the past the way it did, and how it affects present events (for example, I'm in America because of events that happened during the Vietnam War. As painful as it's going to sound for me to say this, if that conflict didn't happen, I wouldn't be here right now talking about this stuff, and I'd probably just be some poor peasant struggling to survive there).
I've been through a lot, and have read a lot about history and other things, which is great for me because it gives me an immense pool of ideas I can draw from to create my stories. I'm hoping to someday become a famous writer, but the only way to find out is to take the plunge and start writing.
You're probably still young, so don't worry about it. I'm only 26, so I still have a lot of years ahead of me, despite the stuff I've seen and done so far. Just think back to stuff you've done and draw from those experiences to help enrich your story.

well, what do you want to write? stories? poems? it might help if you start by writing in a personal journal. just write whatever comes to you. write about your day, your feelings, your thoughs, whatever you want. it'll help you get used to writing and help you discover more about your personal self, too. then if you want, start writing stories or poems. those might take a little more work, or at least they do for me. they take a little more effort on my part. i'm surprised that you believe you need to work of your english skills. you write very well for having english as a third language. i know people who were born speaking english who can't write as well as you! good luck with the writing stuff!

Why do you want to write? What do you imagine yourself writing when you think you're good enough? I think you should write what you think. I think people tend to come to some devastating truths when they face their own mind. Why are you afraid to face your own thoughts? Try journaling. Don't pre-think what you'll write. Just note the date and time and write whatever comes into your head. This would be more articulate if I weren't so tired. Sorry bout that.

Write. If you don't want anyone to see your work, then don't let them. But you'll never get better at writing if you don't get feedback from other people. As soon as you get more comfortable with what you've written you can show people. If you're afraid of your thoughts, then write about that. This way you deal with them in a way you are comfortable with.
Good luck.

yahoo answers is a great place to begin. many people ask many different Q's. pick the Q's that interests u most. and try to answer them in ur own words and thoughts.
eg. my best category in yahoo answer is philosophy. i don't wanna be a good writer like u. but i come to this site everyday, and express myself by answering other peoples' Q's. this way, i m giving my thoughts freedom and indirectly connecting with other's thoughts. i feel like i m talking to a frnd i never had.
and u definitely don't need a psychoanylist. always try to think straight and simple. it really helps. and always think good of others.
