First of all let me rebut the heat thing. If you don't think it will still be hot at 7:45 at night in early September, then I suggest you take a visit. You'll see how that humidity can sometimes be worse at night.

I (a HUGE Hogs fan) don't think that the Hogs are up to that level yet, especially with the mental impact of losing your top player... but overlooked (in McFadden's shadow if you will) are several more outstanding running backs. Felix Jones was only second nationally in kickoff returns last yearand still rushed for around 700 yards behind McF, Peyton Hillis is solid all around the field at fullback running and recieving, and we really didn't to see Smith last year because of fall practice hamstring injury.

Quarterback is the question, will Mustain get to lead the team in an offense designed for him or will Dick or Johnson (I love writing tose two names, especially when we play the gameCocks) call the shots.

O'line should be great, defense should be better than last year.

Overall a better game, but USC will probably be a bit too powerful.

34-28 Trojans, one mistake though and my boys will take it

Take it from a football player... Without McFadden Arkansas wont think they can win in their subconscious mind and will be trying to keep the game close instead of trying to win it. If he is unable to play they will be reduced to a shell of their former selves and USC will slowly but surly pull away from them by the half. They had a good chance, but that was before their golden boy McFadden went out and got himself hurt in a bar fight. If the Hogs insist on starting true freshman Mitch Mustain they might want to try to put in some extra shotgun plays to give him added protection and more time to throw the ball. Or other wise it may get ugly like last years 70-17 debacle.

USC 47
Arkansas 16

USC's defense will be stronger than last year. Arkansas may stay in the game (the high-powered offense of USC is gone), but I still think USC will stifle the Razorbacks. That is my opinion, but college football always has dark horses, so it could be interesting.

Arkansas is due for a good year. I think they are going to come out strong at the beginning of this year and make some noise in the SEC West. So Cal better be ready to play.

Their chances are slim and none, and Slim's on a horse riding out of town.

42-17 Trojans.

And, BTW, it's scheduled to start at 7:45 Central time. Don't think it's going to be that hot by the time the game ends, and Pete Carroll's never been known to have his team ill-conditioned.
