Kindness, at state of mind. You can do kind acts, but if you do not mean them they don't matter. Live your life with kindness. Just giving someone a smile as you walk down the street.

One of the greatest acts of kindness is to say hi and smile at someone who you feel a little aprehensive about. I am Muslim and my husband has a disability so I am used to peoples hard uncareing looks. People either look hard at you or the look through you pretending you are not there. Next time you see someone in a store who looks "scary" try smiling nice and saying hi in passing. I do the same and it makes the world a better place because people know we are not all that different.
And better yet keep a bag of canned goods in your car with a dollar store can opener and next time you see a homeless person give them the bag of food. You may save a life.

Bring someone a cold drink when they have been working in the heat. Give someone a kind word when they are having a bad day. Notice when someone does a good job at whatever they do and say so. Tip the guy who just pumped out your septic tank. Listen when someone needs to talk, even if you don't want to. Let a grudge go because that's a kindness to yourself as much as to the other person.

Well, I dont like to give money to panhandlers, but I noticed this obviously homeless fellow who would come to the store I did, and he'd leave his pack out front and he never begged for money. So I had a little extra cash in my pocket and put a $10 bill on top of his pack. So I watched through the window as I got my cart, and he took the bill and looked at it to see if it was real, and checked his wallet and looked around, and it was lots of fun for me. I like messing with this guy saw him again at walmart and left some food and a bag of dogfood by his pack and some cash.
I like to volunteer at the hospital, they always need extra help. I like to donate our things when we grow out of them to places that dont charge for clothes, like Headstart and 1st way pregnancy center and places like that. I also like to grow things and donate veggies to the foodbank. I always have more than I can use. If you see someone sad give them an understanding smile. Always try to be kind and polite. I know this is hard when you get upset and when youre driving. (guilty)
Instead of flipping someone off flash a peace sign.

Be nice to old people. Give them a little of your time. Is it too much to ask young people to give up a seat anymore? Or catch a door for someone? When you're driving on the highway, give a couple of people a chance to get on , ....This entire planet needs to start being kinder to each other. Your smile or "good morning" could really brighten someone's day. All of us , if we are lucky enough to live to be old, will be slower, and might need someone to open a door for us someday too. I believe when you need it most, it comes back to you.

Think kindly & you'll act in kind. Gave a shopping cart I had used to a person who was looking for a quarter (as that's how these carts were obtained) & told him "that's OK, don't worry about the quarter". A simple but real act of kindness. Once you get to thinking of doing kind things, you'll find lots of opportunities for "random acts of senseless kindness".

Holding a door for someone who's hands are full, letting the person behind you in line at the store with just one thing go first, give a quarter to a little kid you see helping out his mom, a note in the mail just to say hello... there are so many!

*when on the road, pay for the car behind you when at the toll.
*When in a hurry and on your way somewhere...let a turning car into your lane giving them a chance before traffic dies down.
*hold the door open for the next incoming person....ugh, many people dont do that here in Miami, FL but i always do and dont get so much as a smile of recognition, let alone a 'thank you'
