Here is a pretty good start:

If you learn to do Yahoo web searches you will open up a world of information. Search for "homemakers tips" (where I found the abovementioned site), "pet care", "how to care for roses", "lawn mower maintainance", etc. Include the quotation marks in your searches and your results will be more specific.

Good luck with your search for information.

I can't answer all your questions, but I can answer a couple of them. You can keep your doggy fresh by purchasing "Bath Wipes" for dogs. They look just like baby wipes but they are made for dogs. Or you can just purchase a box of the cheap baby wipes (with aloe vera) and they do a great job of keeping doggy fresh also. I have 2 dogs and lots of doggy and baby wipes. :)
And the roses, they have to be pruned( I prefer to trim), fertilized and kept warm in winter. You HAVE to mulch them BEFORE the first frost. In the spring and throughout the summer you have to "deadhead" them, (cut off the old flower). It takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. If you love them they love you back.

rose need a lot of attention to come back year after year. the biggest thing is to wrap with burlap after first frost then in spring cut back any dead portions. i think they sell powders for dogs check at walmart. the control cable you can get at home depot and should be rather easy to replace. depending on where the string broke would determine how difficult it is to repair.
