Do you have two network cards in the same computer? --That's the only way there could be a conflict between the two cards.

Or if they're in different computers, are they both new? Older cards may need manual configuration. If that's the case, I'd say to buy a new card. Also maybe the problem is the network cable you're using... 90% of connectivity problems are faulty cable and connections. Is the card firmly seated into the card slot inside the computer? Is the computer configured to get it's IP address from the router or do you need to enable a static IP address? Have you told the computer that it is to connect through your network connection (rather than through a dialup modem? --These are just a few issues you might research, from off the top of my head. I hope this helps.

Theoreticallly you are suppose to be able to mix and match Adapters and Router manufacturers. However, I have found this does not work so well in real life situations. While it should work, as in a hot spot where laptops connect all the time with different adapters to the same Wireless Adapter, I had nothing but headaches attempting this at home. I had dropped connections and finally switched to the same Adapters in all computers as the Router manufacturer.

I would call the manufacturer and ask them what is up with this. I just didn't have the time to do so, I just changed it out and gave the others to charity.

To get a real answer to this question call your Routers manufacturer first. The tech department should know what is going wrong. It may just be a setting is wrong in one of the adapters or in the Router itself. It is worth it to call if you have the time and are short on cash to just switch out like I did.

Good luck in finding the answer you need and fixing this problem.

Bandwidth sharing -- only one man through the door at a time.

Try limiting your up/down speed of your file transfer clients to 50% of max speed.
