Someone gave me good advice while in line at the store to save me $100s..
I was quite joyful to help a man with $10 to feed his family after he got evicted, even though I didn't have much at the time..

Received - My friend made a pot of homemade soup and brought me a bowl!
I was very touched by the thoughtfulness.

My random act? I fed two stray
starving cats - for the gazillionth time.
Random act II - I didn't call the dog catcher.Again.

I try to do one every day. Just love that feel good factor!!
But today, if I can achieve it.....it is going to be not loosing it big time with a couple of my afternoon students who seem to feel that attending class ,sharing a brain, is an act of random kindness towards me....!
Funny thing is.... I like the two little toads!Maybe they are right!!!

A young lady I used to work with, walked across my yard to say hello today. She had been angry when she quit, but I could see that she had put it behind her. She took a few minutes to tell me she had married, was expecting a child, and that life was much better! I had worried about her. Just taking the moment to walk across the yard was a kindness that most young people I meet don't seem to give...

I stood in the street
and read poetry
from William Blake
SILENTLY.

It might not look like it means much
but around here
NOBODY ever seem to read
in the street
yet I saw
many people looking at me
wandering
and I thought
that maybe they have a book at home
that they felt they should go back to.

Also, I saw that some people wanted to ask me
what it was that I was reading
but they were shy (or so it looked like it)
so I will have to do it again tomorrow.

And when they ask me
I will tell them that
rea
ding
is
dan
ge
rous.

Yes, as a parent, I take care of my kids even if they are already of age. They don't have to ask. I know when they need help and I just do it. Today, I helped without asking anything in return. And I will continue helping until I can not help anymore.

A lady at the grocery store dropped a bag as she was putting it in her trunk and cans went rolling every which way and I helped her chase them down.

My friend Joe has a bad back and can't get out of bed. I fed the cat and made him eggs and later pizza. When I was sick he took me to the doctor many times.

Yup...took my Schnauzer to the drive-in bank so he could get a dog-cookie. He goes nuts for those things.
