Some people do. It will depend how competent the doctor doing the procedure is. Problems can occur, and happens more often in infants than adults.

As to if circumcision is a good thing, it's only truly good if the foreskin has serious problems like painful erections due to phimosis or whatnot, or recurrent infections. These problems aren't usually severe enough to warrant circumcision though. But as long as one keeps clean, an uncircumcised guy won't get any more infections or be prone to STDs any more than a circumcised guy will be.

I only know babies that have it done at birth, and most of the drs. around here have been doing it so long it's like tying their shoe. However as far as if it is good or not, it depends a lot on your lifestyle. It is said that if you are circumcised, you are less likely to get infections such as HIV if you are circumcised.

usually should not have much problems after the circumcision. I did it a few months back, I am now 34. Feel so much cleaner and only regret is why I did not do it earlier.

Cheers
