i boudht a corn plant that was chep because it's not in the best shape i have replanted it and i want to know if removing the leaves that are dying if it will help it to be healthy? If that helps how do you go about removing them?

taking off the dead leaves wont hurt the plant, it is only allowing the rest of the plant to get more nutrient that the dead ones were taking. And also go and get some fertilizer.

How large is your corn plant? I assume you mean a dracena(indoor plant--not the eating kind)...you probably should cut off the leaves that are dying..It sounds like it doesn't have a well enough developed root system to handle that much foliage. If you can you can try putting it in a large clear plastic bag for a week or two (keep it out of the sun if you do this) and it will act like a mini greenhouse for you...just don't overwater it.

1. Wait until the leaves turn completely brown before removing them.

2. I use scissors to cut the as close to the trunk as I can.
