If you have high blood pressure, you should be on medication until you get the cause of your high blood pressure under control. See a doctor to be sure your high blood pressure is not related to a disease (such as kidney disease).

If your high blood pressure is not disease related, then to decrease your blood pressure will take time. You need to change you lifestyle. This means:
1. a healthy diet
2. avoid fatty foods
3. avoid fried foods
4. exercise
5. lose weight
