my mother always uses strong black coffee to re-dye her black stuff....i always wash with Woolite, but its too late for you to do that.
if your shirts are screen printed (the plastic stuff) they dye will not cover the screen print, so rest easy about that...if you don't want to dye the tag in the back cover the tag well with thick rubber bands, just wrap it up.
when dieing anything don't use your washing machine, use a 5 gallon bucket in the bath tub, this saves water and saves the next load you wash in the washer....and after you die them let them air dry then soak them in salt water to make the die set in, this will keep the die from running (1/2 cup of table salt to 4 gallons of water), then dump the bucket of black water down the toilet and flush....no mess at all!

Try dying them using "RIT" dye, found at most large grocery stores.
it comes in both liquid and power. The best way is follow the directions on the package BUT make sure your sink is like stainless steel (metal) and not plastic. some people use the washing machine to dye cloth, but you have to BLEACH out the
washing machine after your done to make sure that the next load of closthes you wash don't get colored.
I've redyed both black jeans and blue jeans with good sucess..

go to walmart and read the back of a rit dye package to figure out how many boxes you need, you find it in the laundry products section. it should work. now after you dye your shirts , run a load of hot water soapy wash with either some old rags, towels or worn out jeans that you dont care about, to make sure you have the washer all cleaned of dye, before you wash other clothes you care about,

RIT dye is easy to use - just put the shirts in the washer and add hot water and the dye. you'll find out how much fun it is and be dying everything.
be sure to run a washer of soap through after you dye to be careful not to stain the next load.

Use Ritz liquid dye that you can find at your local grocery store. Use double the amount it tells you, and dye the shirts in a bucket NOT the washing machine. I made that mistake and it stained the whole inside of my drum!!
Make sure you follow the directions to the letter!! Afterwards, only wash those dyed clothes together. I also use salt to set the dye each time I wash my dyed clothes....

Woolite makes a detergent just for black things. Try that. A really good hint for t-shirts with things on them is to always try to turn them inside-out when you wash and dry, the colors stay longer, and in the dryer nothing will melt if it is inside-out.

You could try dying them, but I'd just suggest in the future, that you wash all blacks separately and in cold water only.
