it would help you understand what is the influence of your height, the distance from the basket, the speed and angle of the throw. Don't forget that to increase your chances of making your shot, you should only shoot shots from distances from which you have had success at shooting previously.

The main thing to remember when shooting a jumphot is BEEF
(B)alance: The B in BEEF stands for balance. This means when you are setting up for your shot your feet should be shoulder width apart. So if you drew a straght line down from each of your shoulders, the line would hit your foot.
(E)lbow: The first E in BEEF stands for elbow. When shooting your elbow should be exactly under the ball. So your elbow and the ball will form a 90 degree angle. So right now your feet are shoulder width apart and your elbow isunder the ball forming a 90 degree angle.
(E)ye: The second E in BEEF stands for eyes. This one is very simple. When you are about to shoot keep your eyes on the target(rim) and picture the ball going in. Its very important you don't take your eyes of the target(rim)
(F)ollow through. The F in BEEF stands for follow through. After you shoot your shot if your right handed, and you close you right eye it should look like you fingers are in the rim. And the opposite for left handed its just the opposite.
Remember also of a layup: When shooting a layup you should always use the hand that is on the side you are on. You should also use the opposite foot that you are on. So if you are shooting a right handed layup youn would use your right hand and left foot. If your shooting a left handed layup you would use your left hand and right foot. When shooting a layup you should also use the back board for a guide.
