If you plan on being unfaithful, you shouldn't get married. I know that when I get married I am going to be faithful. I've always been faithful anyway.

Im sorry I had to read this question twice, I was sure it said women why bother getting married when you know he's going to be unfaithful, lol. I recently got married in June, my first and only marriage as far as Im concerned and am very happy, the thought of straying has never crossed my mind. I worry he will cheat, hes done it in the past but I love him and sometimes you have to trust to lose everything to win love! Not every man/women cheats. I really belive that.

A woman can't be unfaithful unless there's another man who is encouraging her to do so. I guess that means the question should read why does ANYONE bother getting married...

i don't t hink that anyone thinks they will ever be unfaithful when they get married. Men or women...but s*h*i*t happens unfortuantely. But I do believe that 2 people can get married and lead very happy and passionate lives together and faithfully.

not all women are unfaithful in marriages, and not all of them intend on being unfaithful when they do get married...sometimes things just happen and it gets out of control.

i think most people just get married way before they are ready...there is a lot of pressure in our society to marry, and I think that is unfortunate... Hopefully, if someone knows they are going to be unfaithful, they will realize they are not yet ready to get married.

I don't think when two people fall in love they PLAN on being unfaithful. I think it's something that happens when they feel weak in a relationship, not happy, not satisfied.

I wish ppl would just answer damn questions without being sarcastic....
anyway....
Sometimes ppl want that "secure and safe" life but at the same time, they want to have that "wild and free" side that provides excitement on the side. It's all a practice of selfishness. These ppl do enter marriage KNOWING damn well that they cant/wont be faithful, but their selfish desires take over and they take the chance.

How sexist are you! Some of us don't cheat. Never even thought of it. Perhaps you need to change the type of women you are with or associate with. Like guys aren't dogs, either, cheating on their wives too? Careful buddy. You've ruffled my feathers for the evening. Watch what you say billcox.
