(1)Dribble down court, around the foul line take two running steps, raise ball to hoop, lay up to center of back board.(2)Get a spotter first, lay your back flat on bench, concentrate on each lift, take weight off bar, bring down to chest level,as you do that inhale through nose,as you push it up exhale through mouth, never hold your breath, you might rupture yourself.Remember to keep back flat if possible.push the bar up evenly with both arms. Then repeat reps.Start with weight your comfortable with, don't try to lift like the others you may not be ready yet.(3)It is when all or most of your shots go in.(4)Jumping straight up,aim and shot.(5)It can be done either with one arm or holding the ball chest level, push pass the ball to your teammate, with force behind the throw. These are done at a distance not close up.Or one handed, throw at your target to hit him in the hands not over the head or any place else.Takes practice to get it right so get started.

A layup in basketball is a field goal attempt made by leaping from below, laying the ball up near the basket, and using one hand to tip the ball over the rim and into the basket (layin) or to bank it off the backboard and into the basket (layup). The motion and one-handed reach distinguish it from a jump shot.

a jump shot is an attempt to score a basket by jumping, usually straight up, and, mid-flight, propelling the ball in an arc into the basket. It is done so by the player bringing his or her elbow up until it is alligned with the hoop, then sent towards the hoop in a high arc. It is considered the easiest shot to make from a distance. The purpose of the jump is to make it more difficult for the defender to block
