If it was latex paint, scrub well with soapy water and a scotch brite pad. If it was oil based, use a very small amount of common brake cleaner on a rag. Polish and shine as usual afterwards. If it absolutely won't come off, and the shoes are black, and the stain is small, use a black permanent marker over it.

if it resists that get the krud kutter like the other chick said, it is really good stuff, i got paint off some trim that had been on there for a long time with it

If it is latex or water based paint you can use goof -off,goo gone or a
similar product available at most large stores walmart...etc.
If it is oil based paint try lacquer thinner it works eally well....good luck!

Go to Home Depot and buy "Krud Kutter." It'll get paint off anything!!

try goof off or oops, get them in the laundry section of most grocery stores or stores like walmart
