I just want to know why can't we say both... they're supposed to be the same.

I'm not talking about me, but in general to everyone.

god is in me is easier for people to digest cuz most think god created us and he gave us gave us some of his attributes. It's easy and non-offensive to hear this.

The I am god statement offends people. God is something to be worshiped outside. It's blasphemy for people to hear that we are the light n love. And god has so many heavy connotations that the word itself is virtually meaningless---or should be.

We are all gods/Buddhas at our core. Some call it Being or awareness

Most people believe that they're sinners and god is something somewhere separate from them; some entity who will save them if they believe right. It's just centuries of conditioning.

Believing they're the sin and darkness inside them blinds them to their our own radiant light. Both statements "god is in me" and "I am god" are true.

Great question!

They are completely different. When are saved you accept the Holy Spirit into your heart. The Holy Spirit is apart of the Trinity which include God and Jesus too. So if God is living in you and using you that is good. If you go around saying I am the powerful god that is blasphemous and wrong because you are not God.

Well, I think that God is in me because it is the energy that we use everytime to live. every move that we done or we do is act of God's energy, but I can't say that I'm God because the God's energy is infinite and we have only a bit of this energy.

I don't know to write and you know it, but well, here I am.
And sorry for the reader.

1 + 1 = 1. Not TWO, one. Everything is interconnected. If this is true, then its basically an extension of God. Semantics and socialization makes us feel uncomfortable about saying those phrases.

When you say 'God is in me' I interpret it as 'God is a part of me'. When you say "I am God' I interpret 'I am wholey God' two different concepts. You can exchange God is in me and I am in God, but God is me and I am God can only be said by the one that has God's power wholey, not just in part. Until you can breath life into clay without calling on God, you are not God.

Well there is a difference, saying "God is in me" is stating that you have help from God, that in some way he is helping your actions. And saying "I am God" well they think they are God, so its different

They aren't the same. If you say, for example:

My stomach is in me. That is correct.
It is much different to say: I am my stomach!
Much different!

I am Mavis
Mavis is in me....
Maybe that kinda could be considered correct only because the first statement is true...
If the term "I am God" was true, then "God is in me" would also be true. But the first statement is false.

If you are God, do you want me to pray to you??

It's fine to say "I am God." There—I just said it. And if Georgy Porgy thinks he has a direct line to God, then I have a words I'd like him to hear...

Refer to the first commandment that says there is only one God, and if everybody said "I am God," that would not be right. There'd be too many gods!
