'Cause kids are too weak to think, "You know what, I shouldn't give up my virginity. It's too sacred to waste it on a jerk that I don't plan on spending the rest of my life with." I'm almost 14 and I think kids of our generation need to step it up and stop acting so uneducated.

Because they have rotten parents. If you look now many many teens are having babies at 13 and up. Years ago it would be a big deal. Now no one cares.

So now we have children raising children. Who in turn become grandparents in their late 20's early 30's. They have no wisdom to offer their children. So the cycle repeats.

These kids loosing their virginity at a young age. It's all over TV, print ads everywhere. We have half the female (kids & adults) population running out the door half naked. Then people want to get upset when some pervert approaches their kid. Or some man says something rude and nasty to them.

to much pressure. I'm 13 and I'm the only one I know who hasn't had a boyfriend yet. I feel like I'm going too slow compared to everyone else but I'm not comfortable to do anything yet. I won't have sex until I'm at least 18 and with the right person. So, It's not really how educated you are on the subject it's how much common sense you have and how immune you are to the pressure. I also prefer the older guys so I'll probably be solo for a while.

Parents don't teach their kids anything.. my mom taught us that our virginity was a gift that we could never get back. She taught us the importance of waiting to have sex.

There are no consequences anymore for kids. They are taught that the most common STD's like gonorrhea and chlamydia, and syphilis are all curable.. and if you get pregnant, you can get an abortion right around the corner.. or there are millions of people looking to adopt babies.. or, the one that really pisses me off.. mommy and daddy help you raise the baby and pay for everything while you go to school and hang out with your friends, and you can just take care of the baby when you want, like babysitting for free.

Parents don't scare their kids anymore, the kids run the house. If I was out having sex when I was in high school (or junior high) my mom would have found out (because back then parents stayed in touch with their kids), and I would have been knocked into the next century..

Its really bad. Its bad for her (the girl) school reputation as she gets along her junior high and high school years. It is also hard for her to continue post high school education because she has a child to care for. It would be best for her to be able to financially support a child first before having it.

I guess they don't realize what consequences will be in the future. The media also seems to play a great deal in. Friends do it so they want to do it too..

i agree, i am 15 and not even thinking of that! I am still a virgin as well as my 18 year old brother (not that its really his choice) But seriously, people that are so anxious to have sex are crazy, i have my focus where it should be, school and extra curriculars.

I do have a theory though, girls whose friends are all guys sooner or later 1 or several of their guy friends are going to start pressuring them (thats what sorta happened to me but i kicked them in the nuts and set them straight) just most of the girls dont have the guts to do that

umm I'm 13 and I don't want to loose my virginity for moral reasons, but the thing kids my age should be taught abstinence and all the STDs out there. I was taught that this year and it's really scary how you can get them all so easily,

Too many girls seem to think that the HAVE to have a boyfriend and in order to keep that boyfriend they HAVE to have sex. They are wanting a committed relationship way too early in their lives, long before they are mature enough to handle such a relationship and because they have no clue as to how to keep such a relationship they think that having sex will do the trick. I don't think it has to do with "bad parenting" I think it has to do with peer pressure as well as under education.

I find it rather scary to see all these 11 and 12 year olds looking for boyfriends and girlfriends on here. The thought of them going that far really concerns me. At that age, they're not even fully developed yet, and they could really hurt themselves. I am all for waiting until after your married.
