OK, I love Star Wars and have seen Episode I about 2-3 times. I just asked how old Natalie Portman was and someone gave me the imbd address. I was bored so I went there and was reading through her movies. So then I looked through the trivia and saw at the bottom, "Bears a striking resemblance to Keira Knightley. Keira Knightley played Sabé in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999), the Queen's decoy. When in make-up, the mothers of the actresses could not even tell them apart." I didn't know that Keira Knightley was in that movie. Can anyone find a picture online of Keira Knightley as the decoy. The vcr doesn't work at my house.

1. I am not a star wars geek, I just love the movies.
2. I'm just a little surprised that Keira Knightley was in the movie and want to see a picture to believe it.
3. She is pretty, not from a lesbian point of view.

the other people gave you some addresses good luck with that. why don't you leap into the new century with a dvd player? you can get them so cheap now. and on the phantom menace dvd special features there's footage of kiera trying on dresses and such. plus you get crystal clear pauses.
I think I read that on the back of a cereal box and had to check myself. sophia copolla is also one of the handmaidens.
you know who really looks like natalie? virginie ledoyen from the movie "the beach"

The other people have posted good links for pictures of Keira as Padme. Although attractive, I still find Natalie Portman more attractive than Keira Knightley. Natalie has softer facial lines, while Keira is more chiseled.

I knew that when I saw the movie the first time. I had just watched
Princess of Theives and Keira is in that movie. I had to quick check
it out to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me. I had also read
that people had a hard time telling them apart.

The canonical answer to the question is yes; Darth Maul did die by Obi Wan's hand in Episode 1. However, as depicted in "Resurrection" in the 2001 publication of Star Wars Tales #9, a dark side splinter group called the Prophets of the Dark Side managed to resurrect Darth Maul, who goes on to battle Darth Vader and is killed by him. This however, is seen as non-canonical and is seen as a "what If?" storyline.
