Well, if you got your first period not too long ago, it's totally common to have a late period because your body is trying to adjust to the changes it's going through. Lots of girls have irregular periods for many years. I got my first period when I was 11 and mine did not regulate until I was 21. Basically what causes your period to be late are the adjustments that your body is making from childhood into puberty and on into adulthood.

Stress, change in diet, change in activity. I go through the same thing every year. because I am so active from May through Ocotber my period just skips that whole time. I never get it untill roughly around Halloween or early November. Compleatly normal but if you freak out about it will delay it more.Just relax and if you have more question talk to your doctor.

Stress can cause your period to be late. That means any stress, someone getting on your nerves, exercising, just a change in your life style. Any stress to your body. If you are going through some bad times in your life, that can alter it too.

Especially in your early teens the period can be very erratic due to hormone changes and fluctuations. This is normal. Even as an adult, many factor can cause it to change and some women are more or less regular than others.

Ask yourself this question. Are you stressed and if so find out what it is that is causeing you to be so stressed. A females body goes through a lot try eating healthy foods and exercise that will help you aleivate your stress.

you could be under stress or weather change. body change different foods anything can go to your dr. to check for imbalanced hormones
